To ensure proper energy saving, Orti dei Berici rationalizes consumption and uses natural and renewable sources.

Energy saving is a concept we try to put into practice every day. On one hand we rationalize its consumption aiming at using less energy in the productive processes. On the other hand, we replace the use of the energy originated from fossil raw materials, with that coming from natural and renewable sources.

Photovoltaic systems

About a quarter of the energy which makes our installations work every day, is produced on site, thanks to the solar panels installed on the roofs of our plants.

More effective productive plants

Our machinery for the product treatment is equipped with high-efficiency electrical engines which are able to use the 7-10 % energy less.

Focused energy purchases

We make sure that what we use is produced according to criteria which match with our company choices. For this reason for our provision, we exclusively purchase energy that is produced from renewable sources.

Production scraps

Everything is transformed and can often be re-used with good consequences for the community. The products that don’t meet our standards and the scraps deriving from product washing, cleaning and treatment, are re-used in the production of biogas.
