Water

To ensure maximum water saving, Orti dei Berici uses mobile micro jets for irrigation and a membrane filter system for purification.

Precious and limited resource, water is the lifeblood of our ecosystem and community. The plain of Veneto – our land – is rich with rivers and spring water, and represents an environmental heritage, which must be delivered untouched to the future generations. The water we use is necessary for the agricultural production and the next treatments of the products. Our imperative is to consume the least energy possible, giving it back to the environment completely renewed and pure.

Irrigation

Instead of the traditional, expensive and non-effective irrigations methods, we adopted the sprinkler: mobile micro sprinkles spraying water. In this way it is easier to cover the area evenly, improving performance. What is more, sprinklers work at low water pressure, thus saving water and electricity up the 30% compared to water jet reels.

Purification

We consider the water we use in our cultivations and treatments as a borrowing, which has to be given back intact. And if we can, we do something more. Instead of using normal purification systems with sedimentation tanks, we are equipped with a membrane filtration system that is much more effective, having a purification capacity of over 500 m3 a day.
